About IFSEC

IFSEC, the world’s largest annual security event, returns from 10 – 13 May 2010 to the NEC Birmingham. The event will provide security installers, manufacturers, distributors, IT integrators, end-users and consultants with a platform to keep up to date with the ever-changing developments of the global security industry.

Within the extensive exhibition there will be a number of international pavilions in which visitors may seek the latest products and services from all over the globe.

Supported by the US Commercial Service, IFSEC 2010 will feature its first US Pavilion. Based in hall 4, this pavilion will house a plethora of innovative manufacturers to allow visitors to source US security products and services in one concentrated location. Commercial staff from the U.S. embassy in London will also be on hand to answer any queries.

In addition to the US, there will be a raft of other pavilions for visitors to take advantage of including those representing Belgium (new for 2010), China, France, Italy, Korea, Spain (new for 2010) and Taiwan.

Through strategic partnerships with UK Trade & Investment/UKTI Defense & Security Organisation and British Security Industry Association (BSIA), IFSEC 2010 will be hosting more than 100 buyers from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Egypt, India, Mexico, Morocco, Portugal, Turkey and Saudia Arabia as part of the Inward Missions programme. A “Meet the buyers” event will take place on the first day of the show.

Free-of-charge seminars will be running in the New Products & Technology Showcase Seminar Theatres (one in hall 4, the other in hall 5) so visitors are able to hear about the latest developments in this evolving industry.

Also within the exhibition, the new Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) Red Book Pavilion will house seminars and presentations based on all aspects of LPCB third party approvals, training schemes and research relating to physical security. The free-of-charge educational programme will be led by industry experts from the LPCB and dedicated staff will be on hand to answer any questions.

The IFSEC Conference forms part of the high level educational content on offer at the show. Taking place alongside the IFSEC 2010 exhibition from 10 – 12 May, the content will take a fresh and unique look at the key issues facing the security industry, including countering terror, protecting critical national infrastructure, preparing for London Olympics 2012, corporate security issues, security guarding and recent technological developments.

Finally, the IFSEC Security Industry Awards, organised in association with the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) and taking place on Monday 10 May at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, return to acknowledge the people, products and technological advancements that have played a big part in the security industry over the past year.

IFSEC 2010 will be co-located with Safety & Health Expo and The Facilities Show at the NEC Birmingham from 10-13 May 2010.  For more information on the event and to register for free entry, please visit www.ifsec.co.uk.
